Universal Cooking Converter does one thing differently: it converts cups, spoons, ounces, grams and oven temperatures instantly and for free, with nothing to sign up for and nothing that can later be put behind a paywall.
How the converter works
Your amount is converted entirely inside your own browser, using the exact definitions of the units, typical ingredient weights and standard JavaScript arithmetic. Nothing you type is ever transmitted to any server — not even anonymised. Once the page has loaded, you can disconnect from the internet and the converter works just the same.
How it stays free
This site is supported by advertising. There is no premium tier and no feature held behind a paywall — the ads are what make every part of the tool free and unlimited.
Privacy by design
The amounts you convert can say something about your life — what you cook, how much you bake. This tool was built so that it cannot see them: the code runs in your browser, the result stays in your browser, and no value leaves your device. There are no analytics that track which numbers you typed or which units you selected.
